The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange alert for Mumbai, Thane and parts of coastal Maharashtra, warning of moderate to intense rainfall for the next three hours from 10:15 a.m. on July 1, 2026. The alert also covers Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. Residents have been advised to exercise caution amid adverse weather conditions. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall in Mumbai caused severe traffic congestion on the Western Express Highway at Santacruz East, with slow-moving vehicles and long delays reported during peak hours as monsoon activity intensified across the region. #MumbaiRains #IMDAlert #OrangeAlert #Thane #Palghar #Raigad #Ratnagiri #Sindhudurg #Monsoon #WeatherUpdate #TrafficJam #WesternExpressHighway #MumbaiNews Thank you for watching our video!
