Organized by the Philadelphia Historic District 250th Committee, the third annual Red, White, & Blue To-Do commenced on July 2, 2026—the date the Second Continental Congress officially voted for independence in 1776. The day's festivities began at sunrise on Independence Mall, where 250 participants, including all 53 Miss America 2026 delegates and the reigning Miss America, gathered to form a giant human 'Living Liberty Bell.' However, with temperatures soaring to extreme levels, the City of Philadelphia extended its heat emergency, canceling the All-American Block Party and shortening the Red, White, & Blue To-Do Pomp & Parade route.
