In preparation for record-setting temperatures expected this week, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani joked that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's suspected wedding indoors at Madison Square Garden sets a “good example” for heat safety in the city. There’s also a risk for thunderstorms. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center highlighted a slight risk area for severe thunderstorms that includes New York.
