Teenage boys' rape sentences increased to four years after appeal court ruling

Two of the three teenage boys have had their sentences for the rape of two girls increased after they were found to be "unduly lenient". The two boys, referred to in court as X and Y, will serve four years in detention. Initially, the boys were given non-custodial sentences after being convicted of attacking two girls in separate incidents. The sentence of the third teenager will remain the same, the court has ruled.
