Kyiv targeted in deadly Russian strikes

Waves of Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv have killed 23 people with almost 90 others injured. The city’s mayor called the nighttime strikes “terrible” and declared Friday as a day of mourning. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Vladimir Putin was losing the war and would only escalate his attacks on civilians. In Moscow and St Petersburg citizens are now also feeling its impact: fuel shortages have created long lines that bristle with dissent.
