Democrats are increasingly bullish about their chances to win back the Senate majority for the final two years of President Donald Trump’s term even as the party faces a difficult map and questions about some of its candidates in key contests. To be successful, Democrats will need to defend all their seats and flip four others, including many in deep-red territory. At this point in the cycle, there are nine states that will likely determine control of the Senate come November: Six are currently held by Republicans while three belong to Democrats.
