The battle for control of the Trinamool Congress has reached the Election Commission, which has asked both the Mamata Banerjee and Ritabrata Banerjee factions to respond to competing claims over the party's organisational elections and authorised signatories by July 6. The rebel faction, which recently staked claim to the party's name and symbol, says it represents the "real" TMC. The Mamata camp has questioned why the Election Commission granted a hearing to the rebel legislators, intensifying the political crisis in West Bengal. #TMC #MamataBanerjee #ElectionCommission
