Shabir Ahmed, ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang, was released on Thursday (2 July) after serving 14 years in prison for multiple sexual offences, including rape. Maggie Oliver, a former Greater Manchester Police Detective who resigned over the handling of the Rochdale grooming gang scandal, is outraged as Shabir Ahmed avoids deportation. Despite being stripped of his British citizenship, the survivors were told that due to a legal loophole, he could not be deported. ------------------------------------------ Broadcast on 03/07/2026 Stream Good Morning Britain live, every weekday from 6am on the ITVX πŸ“² http://daytimelink.itv.com/WatchGMBYT Subscribe now for more! http://bit.ly/1NbomQa Like, follow and subscribe to Good Morning Britain!
