The National Police Service has denied any involvement in the recent wave of alleged abductions and disappearances reported in the wake of the June 25 Gen Z anniversary protests. In a statement issued to newsrooms this evening, the NPS dismissed the claims as false and misleading, saying some of the reported cases were stage-managed to deceive the public. The denial comes amid growing concern from civil rights groups, which allege that some protesters were abducted and tortured following the commemorative demonstrations.
