Several police stations in Nairobi are operating without electricity and water, raising concerns over service delivery and the welfare of officers. Even as the Interior Ministry and the National Police Service push ahead with plans to digitize police services, major stations in the capital have been without power and running water for several months. The disruptions are attributed to unpaid utility bills, leading to the disconnection of electricity and water services and affecting both police offices and residential quarters within the stations. The police spokesperson said government departments and institutions occasionally experience financial challenges, particularly at the end and beginning of the financial year.
