"People thought I was faking my pain." Living with multiple chronic pain conditions, including lupus, fibromyalgia and hemiplegic migraines, Nay Chi often struggled to convince others that her pain was real. Despite repeated hospital visits, some doctors dismissed her symptoms because her scans came back clear. It took one specialist taking her concerns seriously before her care finally changed. The pain led Nay to give up her dream of becoming a nurse. After repeated trips to hospital, she realised a full-time job was no longer sustainable. Today, she is building a freelance career through her art, determined to embrace life and become financially independent.
