Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated CG Semi's Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking the commencement of commercial chip production. The ₹7,500 crore-plus facility is India's third semiconductor manufacturing plant and is expected to strengthen the country's domestic chip ecosystem, electronics supply chain and export capabilities.
