China has sent 80 tons of aid to earthquake-hit Venezuela on Sunday on board a chartered flight. It is part of the 100-million-yuan in humanitarian aid pledged to Caracas to assist with disaster relief and reconstruction. It will arrive in Caracas on Monday morning. The shipment includes twenty generators, eight water purification units, two hundred disinfection machines, two hundred sets of solar-powered lighting equipment, more than 1,700 tents, and over 6,700 blankets. This is in addition to immediate cash support released to Venezuela by Beijing. Additional humanitarian relief supplies will be dispatched from Beijing in the coming days.
