Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually flagged off the new Nanded–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Express from Bhubaneswar, marking the launch of a long-awaited direct rail link between Marathwada and Mumbai. The inaugural service, delayed due to the Model Code of Conduct, began operations on July 6. The new train is expected to improve connectivity for passengers travelling between Nanded, Mumbai and other key stations, while also enhancing rail access for business, education and pilgrimage.
