Members of the local Venezuelan-Canadian community gathered at a church in Gatineau for a solemn mass and candlelight vigil to honor the thousands of lives lost in recent disasters. CTV's Kimberley Johnson reports that the local gathering is part of a coordinated effort to unite the community in grief and recovery action. Nearly 3,000 people are confirmed dead and tens of thousands remain missing after twin earthquakes devastated Venezuela on June 24. Event organizers with All for Venezuela and Androcles Delcorral are planning a Venezuelan Relief Concert next Saturday to raise funds for the charity Canadian Global Response.
