「そうじ力」提唱者の舛田光洋さんが、人生を好転させる「掃除の不思議な力」を語ります。かつて夢に挫折し、借金を抱えて引きこもっていた彼を救ったのは、友人が部屋に風を通し、共に片付けをしてくれたことでした。涙を流しながら便器を磨き上げた瞬間、彼は「もう一度やり直せる」という内なる力を取り戻します。 部屋の乱れは「外で頑張っている証拠」です。自分を責めず、まずは「蛇口」を1箇所ピカピカに磨くことから始めるよう勧めます。彼の夢は、世界中で地球への感謝を込めて掃除をする日を作り、一人ひとりの心の輝きから世界平和を実現することです。 Mitsuhiro Masuda, the advocate of “Souji-ryoku,” shares the mysterious power of cleaning to transform one’s life. Once, after his dream had been shattered, Mr. Masuda found himself in debt and withdrew from the world. What saved him was a friend who came to his room, opened the windows to let in fresh air, and helped him clean up. As he scrubbed the toilet until it shone, tears streaming down his face, he regained the inner strength to believe, “I can start over again.” A messy room is “proof that you are doing your best out in the world.” Rather than blaming yourself, Mr. Masuda encourages people to begin by polishing just one place, such as a faucet, until it shines.
