在日コリアン4世で17歳の高校生、金世潤(キム・セユン)さん。日本で育つ中で、彼女は周囲の偏見や同情を避けるために自身のルーツを隠して生きてきました。しかし、英語キャンプやスピーチ大会での経験を通じ、違いは隠すべき欠点ではなく、自分らしさを証明する大切な一部であることに気づきます。「生まれる場所や他人の評価は選べなくても、自分がどうあるかという態度は選べる」と語り、自身のルーツを受け入れ、ありのままに生きる勇気を伝えます。 In this deeply personal talk, 17-year-old Seyun Kim, a fourth-generation Zainichi Korean — part of Japan’s long-established ethnic Korean community — explores the concept of “freedom of attitude.” Growing up, Seyun often masked her heritage to avoid uncomfortable questions, prejudice or pity from others. However, transformative experiences at an English camp and a speech contest taught her that her differences are not flaws to be hidden, but integral parts of her unique identity.
