Iran’s top officials and brothers of the country’s new supreme leader have emerged in public view to attend the funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, signaling confidence in their safety. Iran’s new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has yet to make an appearance. Ali Khamenei was killed in a U.S. strike on February 28th. Authorities report that at least 500 people have died from Ebola with an additional 1,500 confirmed cases in Congo. Frontline workers have threatened to strike over unpaid benefits and poor working conditions. The outbreak declared in May continues to spread rapidly. And President Donald Trump plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa while attending the upcoming NATO summit in Turkey.
