England World Cup legend Peter Shilton has praised Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions for ending the "Azteca curse." Forty years ago, Diego Maradona's infamous hand of god incident took place at the Mexico City stadium - at the expense of the then goalkeeper Shilton - but last night's victory in the same ground shows how far England have come. Speaking to GB News' Paul Coyte, the former England goalkeeper praised The Three Lions for their hard-fought 3-2 victory, saying: "From my point of view it has put to bed a little bit the Azteca curse." #England #WorldCup #WorldCup2026 #GBNews Keep up to date with GB News at gbnews.com or on X @GBNEWS Become a Friend of GB News: gbnews.com/friend
