Meta is facing government scrutiny after a BBC investigation alleged that Instagram displayed paid advertisements linked to child sexual abuse material in India. In response, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued a notice to Meta, ordered the removal of such content, and sought explanations from the company withing seven days.
