Cape Verde's national team received a huge, celebratory welcome home after their historic first World Cup appearance, reaching the round of 32 and pushing Argentina into extra time. The team's impressive World Cup run made them the smallest country to ever reach the knockout round of the tournament. “We gave it all for Cape Verde,” defender Pico Lopes said.
