Falling brick and buckling columns trigger evacuations around Manhattan high-rise

The New York Fire Department said on Tuesday that it received reports of bricks falling from the 38-story building at 235 East 42nd Street at around 8 a.m. The building, as well as a number of others in the area were evacuated as a precaution.
