A skyscraper in New York City has been evacuated and its surrounding streets closed off amid fears it could partially collapse. The 37-storey building, which formerly housed the global headquarters of the pharmaceutical company Pfizer but is being converted into luxury apartments, is located on East 42nd Street in Manhattan, a few blocks away from Grand Central Station.
