US Central Command said the attacks were carried out in retaliation for a series of Iranian strikes on commercial ships near the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran said today that it would deliver a “crushing response,” claiming that it has launched missiles and drones at 85 US military targets across Bahrain and Kuwait in response to the latest wave of strikes. CNN’s Kristen Holmes reports from the NATO summit in Turkey, and former US ambassador to NATO Kurt Volker and CNN national security analyst Alex Plitsas break down the rising tension between the US and Iran. 0:00 “Angry” Trump speaks about the Iran ceasefire at the NATO summit 2:34 Former US NATO ambassador reacts to Trump’s harsh statements on Iran 8:26 Will Trump’s stand change Iran’s behavior?
