At 28, Tricia Rose Burt said no to a free demo reel from one of New York's biggest radio stations — and spent the next three decades wondering what would have happened if she'd said yes. In this talk, the storyteller and award-winning podcast host explores what it cost her to play it safe — and the audacious move she finally made to set things right. Tricia Rose Burt is an acclaimed storyteller and host of the award-winning podcast No Time To Be Timid, now in its fifth season. She spent her early career in public relations before leaving at 34 to cash out her retirement savings, move to Ireland, and become an artist. Her work — across writing, performance, and audio — explores what we lose when we stay safe, and what becomes possible when we finally don't. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn mor
