Drawing on his work with major telescopes and European Space Agency missions, Pedro explores how water, chemistry, biomarkers and the origins of life on Earth can help us understand where life might exist beyond our planet. His talk invites us to look at the night sky differently, not as a sky full of stars, but as a sky full of worlds. Planetary Scientist Pedro Mota Machado's main activity is focused on planetary sciences, more specifically on the study of other planets' atmospheres.
