What happens when the places that define our planet begin to disappear before our eyes? Drawing on more than a decade of documenting Earth's most remote environments, documentary photographer Christian Clauwers explores how photography can transform distant environmental change into a deeply human story, and why becoming witnesses may be the first step toward protecting what remains. Christian Clauwers is a Belgian documentary photographer, explorer, and visual storyteller. He documents environmental change from the polar regions to remote islands, translating science into compelling human stories. An EU Climate Pact Ambassador and Explorers Club Fellow, he connects people with the fragility of our changing planet. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
