What if creating real social change isn't about being the hero, but about doing the unseen work that makes lasting impact possible? In this talk, Shuvajit Payne challenges the romantic idea of "doing good," arguing that meaningful change demands preparation, research, and systems thinking, not just passion and good intentions. Shuvajit Payne is the Founder of ImpactOnus Consulting, a social enterprise that develops learning and impact solutions for underserved communities. An alumnus of IIM Lucknow, he began his professional career with IBM before dedicating his work to education, employability, and social development. Over the past fifteen years, he has worked with organisations and institutions focused on skill development, education, and youth empowerment. His work has been recognised internationally, including being named among the Top 50 Global Educators by the Varkey Foundation in 2020. He has contributed to discussions on education and digital learning at forums organised by UN
