Could your community recover from a disaster tomorrow? In Make Our Community Disaster Ready, Hudson Planck reflects on the devastating tornado that impacted Brown County and the challenges that continued long after the storm passed. Drawing from his community's experience, he explores the importance of preparedness, resilience, and collective action to ensure communities are ready not only to survive disasters, but to recover and rebuild stronger than before. Hudson is a 3rd grade student at Sprunica Elementary. He lives with his siblings: Blakely, Rhett, and Ruthie, and his parents Colton and Abbie Magner who encourage him to work hard, get good grades, and be well behaved. Hudson joined TED-Ed because he is passionate about sharing reasons for being weather prepared. His favorite part of the experience is speaking in front of others and sharing his passion. He hopes his speech will encourage each person who hears his message to take his topic seriously and prepare for severe weath
