In Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover, Mackenzie Sadtler challenges common misconceptions about people with disabilities, sharing how her friendship with Colsen has transformed the way she sees ability, belonging, and human connection. Together on stage, they invite audiences to look beyond labels and recognize the unique gifts, strengths, and value every person brings to the world. Mackenzie is a 4th grader at Van Buren Elementary. She lives with her parents, John and Danielle Sadtler who are her biggest fans and have encouraged her to follow her dream of being a professional speaker. Mackenzie originally joined TedEd after watching the Ted Talks at Van Buren when she was in 2nd grade. She decided right then and there that she wanted to be up there on the stage sharing her passion in front of her peers.
