Coco Gauff was defeated by Karolína Muchová on Centre Court in a thrilling semifinal match Thursday, with the Czech player advancing to her first career final at Wimbledon. After dropping the first set 6-2 to world No. 10 Muchová, world No. 7 Gauff, 22, battled back to take the second set 1-6 before the final nail-biter third set was decided by a tie-break. Gauff, a two-time Grand Slam champion from Delray Beach, Florida, was the last American standing for both women and men at the third major of the year.
