Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commissioned the indigenous stealth frigate INS Mahendragiri into the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, marking another milestone in India's drive towards self-reliance in defence manufacturing. Built under the Project 17A programme, the advanced multi-role warship is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons, sensors and stealth features for anti-air, anti-surface and anti-submarine operations.
