KRA posts record tax collection, misses target

The Kenya Revenue Authority collected more tax than ever before in the last financial year, with revenue rising to a record 2.844 trillion shillings. But despite its strongest annual growth in recent years, the taxman still missed the government's revenue target by nearly 130 billion shillings, as weaker domestic taxes offset gains from key sectors of the economy.
