Health advocates push for expanded cancer screening

Health advocates say limited access to screening, high treatment costs and low public awareness are the main reasons cancer continues to claim more lives in Kenya. Speaking during the 15th anniversary fundraising luncheon of the Africa Cancer Foundation in Nairobi, the advocates said expanding early detection programmes and decentralising cancer care are critical to improving survival rates and reducing cancer-related deaths across the country.
