Last month, President Trump canceled his planned signing of the bipartisan housing affordability bill, saying he wants Republican lawmakers to back his SAVE America Act. If Trump decides not to veto the bill ahead of the July 10, 2026, midnight deadline, the legislation will become law automatically.
