The Orange Democratic Movement has stepped up its preparations for the 2027 General Election, announcing plans to constitute a team that will represent the party in anticipated talks with the Kenya Kwanza administration. Speaking during a women's empowerment event in Gem Constituency, ODM leader Oburu Oginga said the party already has its preferred presidential candidate and urged supporters to back leaders aligned with the Broad-Based Government. Oburu also dismissed claims that he had endorsed dictatorship, saying his recent remarks had been misunderstood and were instead meant to underscore the importance of visionary leadership.
