Transforming disability into a driving force for change, and building a sporting and human movement from the womb of suffering, to prove that a person is not measured by what he loses, but by the hope he creates. What if loss were the starting point? From loss to beyond borders, Jihad turned the loss of his eye and leg into a dream: the foundation of Yemen’s first national amputee football team. A story of how a single will can build a system of hope, proving that a person’s value is not defined by what they lose, but by what they choose to create. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
