A shy schoolboy with a stutter, originally from Northern Ireland, lived in New Zealand in the 1950s. Back then he was known by his real name, Nigel. But the world would know him as the one and only Sam Neill. He died on July 13, aged 78, leaving behind a body of work stretching decades and spanning genres.
