The Home Secretary has vowed to review security arrangements for sitting and former MPs, after counter-terror police took over the investigation into the death of Reform UK spokesperson Ann Widdecombe. Shabana Mahmood also confirmed a meeting had been arranged for the party's leader, Nigel Farage, and specialist security advisors. On Monday, "new information and evidence" meant the investigation into the fatal attack on the 78-year-old politician had been escalated into a terrorism inquiry.
