A man being questioned over Ann Widdecombe’s suspected murder reportedly drove nearly 300 miles from Rotherham to Dartmoor carrying what appeared to be a wooden pole. CCTV is said to show a man placing the object inside a red car before leaving on the morning police believe the former minister was attacked. The 28-year-old remains in custody, while officers say they are not currently seeking anyone else. Police stress that no motive has been established and there is still nothing suggesting the case was political or terrorism-related.
