Just over a month ago, Sen. Gary Peters, D-MI, said he’d remain neutral in the race to succeed him in the Senate. Now, he’s endorsing Rep. Haley Stevens, D-MI, against the progressive Abdul El-Sayed. Peters tells Morning Joe the Michigan Senate seat is critical for Democrats trying to gain control of the chamber.
