Health unions announce nationwide strike

The Health Union Caucus has announced a nationwide withdrawal of services by its members beginning Monday, 26 July 2026. The healthcare workers' unions accuse the Council of Governors of failing to convert 7,450 Universal Health Coverage (UHC) employees to permanent and pensionable terms despite funds being allocated by the National Assembly. The unions are also demanding the full implementation of their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
