Home Affairs commentator Danny Shaw warns that changing British law will not be enough to deport Rochdale grooming gang leader Shabir Ahmed. The Government plans to close a decades-old legal loophole protecting certain Commonwealth citizens who arrived in Britain before 1973 from deportation — even after committing the most vile offences. But Shaw says Pakistan must still agree to accept Ahmed, who has reportedly renounced his Pakistani citizenship. He warns that Islamabad has so far refused to take him and other grooming gang ringleaders back, meaning Britain will need to use diplomatic “carrots and sticks” to secure his removal. Shaw also discusses Shabana Mahmood’s controversial plans to make some migrants wait up to 20 years for indefinite leave to remain, amid pressure from Labour backbenchers. #ShabirAhmed #Rochdale #GroomingGangs #Pakistan #Deportation #ShabanaMahmood #Immigration #DannyShaw #UKPolitics #TalkTV Have you got a story?
