During her press conference on Tuesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum condemned the deaths of 17 Mexicans in US immigration custody and during enforcement operations, saying the entire country shares the pain of their families. The Mexican government began filing complaints to US state and federal prosecutors to request criminal investigations into the deaths, which CNN has verified through public records released by the US Department of Homeland Security.
