President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is encouraging more investments in the renewable energy sector, as his administration continues to "work closely with partners to accelerate the development of new RE facilities." The President on Tuesday inaugurated the MTerra Solar Phase 1 in Gapan, Nueva Ecija– together with First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos and Metro Pacific Investment Corporation Chairman and CEO Manny Pangilinan. The MTerra Solar Phase 1 is a project of the Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN) and the "completion of the first phase of what is set to become the world's largest integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS)."
