Australia's best-paid executive, Life360's Chris Hulls, collected almost $48 million in the 2025 financial year, which is almost 500 times the full-time average wage. The average ASX100 CEO earned about 55 times more than the average wage earner in FY 2025. Five out of the top 10 highest earners working for companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange are US-based, according to Australian Council of Superannuation Investors research. The research looked at what's known as "realised pay", which takes into account salaries, bonuses and any shares that have been sold. Some CEOs take part of their salary as an option to cash out stocks when the price rises. They can't do this all the time, which is why the top ten earners can change year to year. The research also found CEOs are more likely to lose their job than their bonus.
