Why do we celebrate resilience but fear anger? In this powerful TEDx talk, neue wut challenges the expectation that survivors of sexualized violence must turn their pain into an inspiring story, arguing instead that anger can be a necessary response to injustice. neue wut (they/none) is queer multidisciplinary artist and systemic coach based in Vienna. Their work moves between music, writing, drawing and collage. Treating the “I” as a research object, neue wut approaches questions of the body, trauma and sexuality as deeply political. Currently, their main focus is writing an autobiography about the banality of surviving sexualized violence. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
