A five-year-old boy has died after being struck by a four-wheel drive in Cloverdale when he ran onto a busy road. His mother, who threw herself in front of the vehicle attempting to save her son, was also hit and rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in critical condition before stabilising. The family of four were reportedly looking for a new home when the tragedy occurred, with witnesses and neighbours providing emergency assistance at the scene.
