Dilip Mahadu Gavit created history by winning gold in the men’s 100m T47 at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, clocking 10.71 seconds. Mohammed Basil M completed a memorable Indian one-two by taking silver in 10.83 seconds. Murali Sreeshankar added another medal to India’s tally with an 8.09m effort in the men’s long jump, becoming the first Indian long jumper to win medals at successive Commonwealth Games.
