Utumishi Girls High School has held a special prayer service for its Form Four candidates as they prepare to sit the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. The event was led by the school's patron, Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat, alongside Gilgil MP Martha Wangari and other leaders. It comes two months after a devastating fire at the school claimed the lives of 16 students. Among those who died were seven Form Four candidates who had been preparing for the national examinations. Despite the tragedy, the candidates say they remain determined, drawing strength from the memories of their fallen classmates. They say their colleagues continue to inspire them as they strive to achieve the dream they once shared.
